As many of you have heard, Wizards will be revamping the D&D line in the next year and a half, but the idea is not to release a 5th edition with a new set of rules. The idea will be coming up with products that players and fans of each edition can use in their campaigns. In other words, all versions will be welcome.

In celebration of this news, they will be re-releasing premium editions of the first D&D books that were sold way back in the 1970’s. These books will be *highly* allocated and available for a short time only. If you are interested in getting some of these books, pre-order as soon as possible.

In other D&D related news, Wizards will soon holding a worldwide open playtest for the new rules edition. As most of you know, Peter Jackson’s The Hobbit movie will be coming out this Christmas! The Lord of the Rings board games were great sellers for us when the movie trilogy launched, and we hope to see similar results with this board game from Wizkids.

(As a side note, we saw some things Wizkids is doing with their board game lines at the GAMA show, and they are making LOTS of cool stuff. This should be a great product!)
